The exploration and development of safe alternatives to fossil fuels should be the most important global priority today. To what extent do you agree or disagree? In this day and age, novel energy resources fortunately have been developed all over the world since negative impacts of fossil fuels can be seen significantly. First and foremost, it is an axiom that fossil fuels’ consumption result in greenhouse gas emission such as carbon dioxide which in turn causes the greenhouse effect, so the dire consequences of this phenomenon threaten our planet over time. In environmental terms, global warming is an excessive destructive event which triggers detrimental effects all over the world. For instance, not only will deforestation be hard on human life, but plenty of animals’ and plants’ species will be on the verge of extinction as well. Moreover, deterioration of the protective ozone layer is regrettably another harmful influence in this regard which is negatively affected by the greenhouse effect. On the other hand, humans’ needs are obviously inextricably bound up in natural resources. In other worlds, the amount size of population has risen during the recent decades by which vital resources are going to be used up. Therefore, I strongly believe that only if countries invest in research and development sectors in order to achieve alternative resources, will the next generations be supplied for with their crucial requirements. Last but not least, new energy resources such as wind and solar power have received wide currency considerably among countries recently which stems from state-of-the-art technology. In conclusion, further to the above explanation, renewable resources not only are environmentally friendly factors but also facilitate human life. My firm conviction is that this critical issue is the major global priority nowadays, even though other disasters like a various array of diseases or poverty should be mitigated too.
