In many major cities of the world, you will find large public buildings, both new and old. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of such buildings. How important is it for a country to construct impressive public buildings when houses are what is really required? Public buildings are the places which exist in all cities and are founded from public sources. In large cities we see more civil buildings because the need for these buildings has increased dramatically. First of all, it seems that constructing wonderful public buildings goes back to the past. On at that time the purpose of constructing this building structure was to prevent from enemy attack. Howeveralthough, many workers died for completing that building, but today it becomes is one of the most famous places in the world for the visitors. Moreover, these buildings give a city its character. Not only are these structures city pride but also impress both visitors and enemies. Besides, these structures attract tourists from all over the world which in turn brings about more job opportunities for city since according to the research each tourist creates jobs for four people. On the other hand, some people think that these structures waste the wealth of a country. They feel that governments want to show themselves to others in order to become more popular among the countries. In addition, it is the duty of the government to do its best for the people to build houses for them. This is a major issue which government should not overlook. This is why the role of the government is important in this regard. So overall, I believe that the right balance is the key of to this issue. The government should construct adequate houses for people while outstanding public buildings create a great sense of local and national pride.
