Countries are becoming more and more similar because people are able to buy the same products anywhere in the world. Do you think this is a positive or negative development? Globalization is fostering international relations by allowing more business trades between societies. This, of course, is somehow making differences less evident than ever before. I believe this very trend is a positive one since it provides equal opportunities for nations’ development and makes peaceful relations among the countries. Being able to purchase almost all goods anywhere around the world presents similar chances to both individuals and states to develop the country. That means if people can have access to the same items worldwide, they are given the same tools to grow professionally. For instance, if a person is able to buy a state-of-the-art device just like another person living in another continent, the likelihood of these two people make headway in their fields of expertise is almost equal. Therefore, this phenomenon acts as a framework that gives countries a powerful means to progress, which otherwise would not have been possible. Another factor to look into here is the fact that seeing different kinds of merchandise in every society, implicitly, implies that there exists at least a partial peace in the world. This is because countries that work together to import and export products are, to a great degree, politically close. Hence, it is less likely to witness any conflict in between. That is evident in countries such as the USA and South Korea where there are continuous trades that have made them tolerant of one another. It is then fair to say that the availability of goods around the globe leads to stronger development and peaceful relations, which are obviously positive moves.
