Some people think it would be a good idea for schools to teach every young person how to be a good parent. Do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Describe the skills a person needs to be a good parent. Parenting skills have been a matter of grave concern for quite some years. Despite the numerous existing methods for parenting, there has not been a consensus on which to adopt for good. However, almost everyone would agree that schools play a pivotal role in the youth’s social development. That said, it seems sensible to side with the proposed view. Although we, as humans, are somehow hard-wired with a considerable batch of attributes right after leaving the mother’s womb, there is still a multitude of properties left to flourish. For one, parenting is of those abilities that have a lot to do with nurture, meaning that education is somehow a must in developing parenting skills. For that reason, schools are probably a fine place to commence the journey in. Moreover, parents of today will be, in a way, held accountable by the generation of tomorrow. This implies the fact that the sooner people get equipped with life skills such as parenting, the better they become in the future, thus allowing parents to fulfill their moral duty toward the future. Patience, for instance, is argued to be immensely important for parents to practice, since being short-tempered would not much help when seeing your child crying with rage. Another skill worth mentioning could be any knowledge pertaining to human health, both physical and mental, as it will educate parents to secure their children’s health state. By contrast, there are people who would position themselves on the other side of the spectrum, reasoning that young people are not yet capable of conceiving such prominent life lessons. They would instead suggest procrastinating the matter up until they come of age. It still appears that this argument is not very persuasive as it might become too late for people to start grasping delicate parenting skills.Overall, it seems as though early education will better foster the development of children in skills such as parenting. Schools, as a result, are presumed to be the prime environment for the issue.
