Some people say that in all levels of education, from primary schools to universities, too much time is spent on learning facts and not enough on learning practical skills. Do you agree or disagree? Some argue that there is a lot of emphasis on studying applied science instead of gaining real experience in different educational levels. Although there is an increasing tendency towards changing this practice, with regards to the environments of various careers and the students' courses, I wish to confess admit that the trend has almost remained unchanged. Firstly, considering the titles of books being studied in the schools, we can notice that most of them have theoretical aspects. For instance, except for science, all courses such as history or geography hardly involve some actual curriculums. Though inevitable the above-mentioned fact may seem, it would be really invaluable if we devised a comprehensively designed schedule for students, rendering them exposed to a great deal of real experience. In addition, even though more non-theoretical topics are concerned in higher degrees like universities, society gives priority to the experienced employees over those who have just graduated from the academic institutions. To cite the reason, I wholeheartedly say that this issue is rooted in the policy that has been taken by those who are in charge of the educational bodies, thereby giving far less opportunities to the young people in comparison with the older ones. However, in this day and age, facing scientific breakthroughs, authorities have found that they had better pave the way for the students to apply their abilities in a the real world. They turn to include including more experimental studies in the syllabuses due to a growing body of evidence that authenticate the paramount importance of practical skills. In conclusion, that the focus has been always placed on factual skills in schools or universities is an undeniable fact, needing a lot of effort to be put into the educational process in order for students to improve their nontheoretical knowledge and thrive on it especially regarding the fact that they will have been directly affected by this issue in the future.
