Today the quality of life in large cities is decreasing. Discuss the causes and solutions. In recent decades due to industrialization, world has experienced enormous changes. With the advent of technology and exploration of natural resources, governments have gained huge amounts of money and as a result countries have financially and economically developed, though/albeit at a cost in quality of life. There are various factors contributing to quality of life in large cities that should be taken into consideration. First of all, population has increased and due to more job opportunities, immigration to large cities has expanded. Not only does overcrowding plays a key role in traffic congestion, but also does make a difference in air and noise pollution. Moreover, there are some problems in living costs. In other words, due to high cost of life, people have to spend a large portion of their income for day-to-day expenditures. As a result, people with a low income levels will face some difficulties in their life. To tackle with above-mentioned problems especially heavy traffic, development of public transport can play a significant role for solving the issue. In addition, government should encourage people to use more nonpolluting transport such as bikes. Actually, the more either public transport or bikes, the less polluted city. Also, if the government makes an equal distribution of wealth resources between different cities, people will immigrate less than usual to large cities. In conclusion, given the mentioned problems like traffic congestion, air pollution and high cost of life, attracting whole resources of wealth to large cities, will lead to overcrowding and there is no solution but to consider different cities of a country as a unique one.
