It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behavior to children? Learning the difference between right and wrong is one of the most rudimentary principles of child’s growth and development. While some people believing punishment is totally unacceptable, the others and I claim that several types of punishments could have positive effect on children. To begin with, the youngsters are not mature enough to perceive the right from the wrong, thereby learning such difference from their parents even their teachers; in this regard the role of their parents and teachers will be the delicate one that could encourage them when do something right and in opposite should give them punishment. Besides, not only has such method impressive impact on learning the distinction between right and wrong, but also they figure out that in the real life in future they will be faced severe penalty by doing unlike the law. Hence, on my point of view giving penalty to the children is not harmful which makes them socially profitable person or course we must be careful of type of punishment. While physical punishments are rarely being used in developed countries, they are so common in undeveloped ones that are prohibited by the scientist because of their unfavorable effects on children. In other word, parents and teachers should use other kinds of punishments such as not allowing the child to play video game or even watching TV rather than any other harsh corporal punishment which makes them dull or less creative. To conclude, were I to choose I would definitely vote for necessity of punishment; however, I strongly believe that physical punishment must be avoided.
