Organized tour to remote community and other countries is increasingly popular. Is it a positive or negative development for the local people and environment? Tourism industry has been broadly popularizing in last few years, which has had many impacts on rural areas in terms of their environment and inhabitants. In this regard, there is a controversial debate as to whether this phenomenon is considered to be a beneficial or detrimental development. In this essay, I will elaborate some pros and cons resulted from this change before giving my own opinion. On the one hand, when a place is discovered as a tourist attraction, the authorities would heed more generously its deficits. To make my point crystal clear, wanting to attract more revenue, the governments would definitely provide the required amenities for tourists. Two of which are their accommodation and transportation facilities, which would certainly ameliorate the domestic people’s life situations as well. Furthermore, hosting more visitors, these distant regions need more hotels, restaurants and serving places, hence more employment opportunities. On the other hand, entering these unspoiled locations, many an individual litters and pollutes the environment carelessly, which causes gradual degradation to many lush/ verdant lands. In addition, sometimes that the visitors pay an exorbitant money for their package (entitles them mistakenly to some self-centered manner?) makes them feel that they have bought all the inhabitants as well. Meaning that, behaving improperly toward local people, tourists let themselves interfere in the life of the domestic dwellers whose solace and peaceful routines has been already disturbed unconsciously. At last, the main conclusion to be drawn from this discussion is that although from an economic point of view, the tourism industry increment is considered to be a sign of growth, poor destination residents have somehow fallen victim to it. Consequently, not only can tourists’ entrance exacerbate local habitats conditions, but it can also ruin the inhabitants’ privacy and cozy lifestyle. Therefore, governments must exert tighter control over tourist activities to deter any disturbance in either domestic people's life or the environment.
