In many parts of the world, animals are kept in zoos. What are the advantages of zoos? Zoos are built around the globe due to a wide variety of merits they have for both people and animals. In this essay, I will outline some of the advantages they bring. For people, a zoo can be beneficial in many ways. Firstly, it is entertaining and can act as an attractive facility where animal lovers can spend time on and enjoy watching wildlife. While living and working in cities, many people will find it calming and engaging to see animals closely. Secondly, zoos educate children as to in a way of how animals are living. Raised mostly in areas far from nature, children would not have a chance to learn about other species which live on our planet. By visiting zoos, not only would they enjoy watching animals, but also it would raise awareness among the next generation of the crucial role that other species are playing in the future of earth, for many zoos are offering educational materials such as guided tours and brochures about the wildlife. What the whole process is leading to is a significantly more conscious and respectful population toward with respect to wildlife, which means we would be less likely to face environmental hazards caused by human negligence in the future to come. Also, the profound impact of zoos on animal preservation cannot be overlooked. A zoo has a unique ability to provide veterinarian and environmentalists with a more precise insight into animal behaviour and survival. Despite some righteous concerns about the cruelty of keeping animals in captivity, it lets a researcher investigate animal behaviour and exert this knowledge for animal preservation efforts. Moreover, zoos can protect some animals which are on the verge of extinction. In recent years, we have been witnessing a steadily sharp decline in the number of some animals in the wild because of either habitat destruction or illegal poaching. By keeping the animals in zoos, humans can provide a desirable environment for them to procreate and protect them from the danger of extinction. In conclusion, it seems zoos have been of great benefit to animals and people, and the government should encourage establishing zoos. shahroq
