The best way to reduce crime among young people is to teach parents good parenting skills. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement. Some researchers assume that the most efficient solution to decrease the numbers of young offenders is providing their fathers and mothers with learning some beneficial ways of nurturing and caring for their offspring. I, personally, wholeheartedly support this opinion. This essay will discuss in regard to this idea. Proponents opine that home is the first place where children get to know numerous basic codes of ethics and grow capable of deciphering right from wrong. That is why taking several courses adults, could be much more familiar with the newly established routes of parenting. For example, the crime rate among juveniles brought up in broken families is significantly higher that than intact ones. Not only do under-aged generations look up to their parents, but they also try to make them pleasantpleased. Last but not least, educated individuals expert in treating their charges and warning them regarding the implications of being an offensive doer can reduce the crime rate in the future. On the other hand, opponents assert that it is not a fair way to consider parents the most significant issue. We should not overlook the pivotal role of schools and societies. Further and even more importantly, teachers are the first group of people making students familiar with the official rules in society. The dominant atmosphere in society can positively or negatively affect the inhabitants too. The more laxity in laws, the higher number of young delinquents. By way of conclusion, from my point of view investment on in increasing the fathers’ and mothers’ knowledge could be an effective choice to prevent having a criminal child, for they are chosen by charges as a role model, hence their close relationship.
