Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people makes? Has this become a positive or negative development? Today, with the increase in technological improvements, people’s lifestyle has been changed. Many individuals embrace this modern phenomenon, whereas others are worried about its potentially deleterious effects on the way of their relationships. Undoubtedly, the most significant technological advancement in recent years has been those connected with the Internet, hence alternation in the public’s social behavior. For example, face-to-face conversation is decreasing little by little and givinge its place to social media, thereby facilitating our personal and social life. On the one hand, modification in the way of communication by using recently released technology can help persons have access to a wide range of opportunities which have been embedded in on the Internet to extend their circle of friends, thus emerging of the global village. Hence, not only can people speak to each other at any time, but also they are effortlessly capable of long-distance friendships. On the other hand, although many factors have been cited as the causes of fading out of people’s relationships, many societies consider developments in technology the main culprit of this extremely worrying circumstance. For instance, they argue that rarely are individuals eager to meet up and they have been discouraged from communicating faceto-face with each other when a comparatively unchallenging and easier way is reachable. Therefore, the social impact of technological improvements such as imminent sense of isolation should be taken into consideration. Consequently, whilst the redefined way of interaction is the confluence of many factors, blaming the technological advancement for our social ills and shouldering all the responsibilities by it, irrespective of whether it is beneficial, is seemingly not to be a rationally reasonable decision.
