Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development? These days, the improvement of technology has substantially influenced the relationships among the people and the question of whether this change has any advantages and disadvantages or not has emerged as one of the most discussed issues of the modern era. In this essay, I will explore some of the merits and demerits of these newly modern relationships before giving my opinion on this subject. One of the most cited useful points of this fact is that it has mostly faded caused distances in relationships to fade. In other words, before, when a person emigrated from his home country, not only could not he not see his friends and relatives any more, but also he could not even speak with them,. Therefore, he could not contact them unless by sending some letters, which could sometimes take a months to arrive to at its destination. But nowadays, as long as the access of the internet is provided, people could can contact each other through a different applications on their cellphones, by both audio and video calls, no matter how far they are from each other. Moreover, before/previously, making a call to abroad was so expensive and not everyone could afford it, but today, by just connecting to the internet you can call wherever you want without any extra charges. On the other hand, the easiness of using the internet and having video calls, has made people lazy in to meeting each other and having face to face conversation. Day by day they rely more on distance relationships, consequently they become more isolated, hence many types of depressions. Furthermore, through these fake relationships, many hackers misuse this these facilities to seduce others and abuse their feelings and properties. The main conclusion to be drawn from this discussion is that, although the recent high level of technology has made relationships much easier, people must pay attention not to not forget the main requirement of any humanwhich is being in the real society and communicate with others, otherwise they would face many mental problems.
