Some universities now offer their courses on the Internet so that people can study online. Is this a positive or negative development? Nowadays, with technological improvements, specifically the Internet bandwidth, and growing websites and platforms, online education has become a hot trend. It seems that some universities tend to embrace this new occasion to develop their education system. Although, likewise other issues, online training includes various advantages and disadvantages, I tend to declare that this opportunity have has/offers numerous benefits for society and should not be ignored easily. Online courses can be divided in two parts, holding an online class and publishing a video of a course on the internet. In regard to online classes, time-saving is a noticeable item which is obvious to point out. Spent spending a lot of the time to traveling a long distance from house to university, students can replace it with other efficient activities, such as reading a book, reviewing lessons, doing homework, and you name it. Flexibility in both time and place is another factor that contributes to time-saving which is more obvious in online courses. In other words, people can easily reschedule their program not to not spend their time efficiently regardless of their location. Take the example that someone who is at work can take an online course during their rest time. Moreover, the a more larger number of people can apply for a course in this type of education. On the other hand, due to the novelty of this studying approach, there are negative spots which should be alleviated as soon as possible. From a psychological point of view, lack of communication between classmates and also between teachers and students, reduction of motivation and concentrations of students to effectively take a course or attend an online class, can result in a decrease of/in the quality of education. To mention the other pitfalls of offering online courses, requiring modern devices such as a laptop and having a reliable connection is crucial which are not available for everyone. To sum up, from my point of view, despite the drawbacks of publishing the courses on the internet, it is a wise decision that is made by several universities that to promoting promote online education whosethat its benefits outweigh the disadvantages by far.
