Some parents buy their children a large number of toys to play with. What are the advantages and disadvantages for the child of having a large number of toys? It is obvious that parents purchase several playthings for their children providing definite advantages within their rearing, although there would be some detrimental consequences in this situation which often pose a dilemma for parents. Children are fond of toys and parents consider various kinds of them to improve their offspring’s mental growth particularly since toys have been designed to be educational besides its prime goal of fun. Children unconsciously develop their imagination as well as creativity while they become involved in exploring and discovering the fun and enjoyment that they can get/derive from playing with diverse toys. Moreover, most of the time they encourage their friends to accompany them on in the game to find more, so their social behaviors and communication skills will be enhanced effectively like compromising, conflicting resolution and sharing especially those games associated with physical activities. Also, many intellectual and constructor constructive playthings can boost their ability of problem solving or help them learning the reality of cause and effect. Thus, spending time with a variety of different toys leads to increase increasing any part of children’s capability. However, having an excessive number of toys for children is not always profitable. When they are bombarded with multitude toys, they will not comprehend know the value of their possessions as the other objects in their surroundings, so they will not make a deep attachment to their playthings because they do not have sufficient time to examine and focus on them carefully and then they will lose their concentration due to jumping from one toy to the next. Therefore, in this condition parents might spoil their daughter or son as well as effecting onbringing about other negative effects of on their personality and he or she gradually gets used to looking for better and more expensive items every time. Furthermore, it is more feasible that they be targeted on some harmful behaviors by their peers or classmates as these children possess far more than them. In conclusion, toys can keep offspring entertained while they exercise using them which could not be possible unless we considering toys with beneficial impacts and also setting them limit.
