Some people say that parents should encourage their children to take part in organized group activities in their free time. Others say that it is important for children to learn how to occupy themselves on their own. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. There has been much discussion revolving around whether the children's spare time should be spent by attending to group activities or not. While trying to makeoccupying kids by themselves busy benefits themyouths in several grounds, I do believe that the merits of being involved in a group activity are of paramount significance. Figuring out activities to be occupied, children will improve mentally. That finding amusing ways to play enhances their creativity is an undisputable indisputable fact. Being alone, children use their imagination and come up with new ideas to entertain themselves. For example, playing with Legos will promote children's innovation or painting could be a way to self-expression and fire their imagination. Moreover, Parents can play an active role by providing them valuable sources of information such as encyclopedias and books and encourage children to read them. Since children mostly are keen to learn and have high learning abilities they can improve significantly in a learning environment. In the opposite side of the coin, not all children have the mental capability to be innovative. Many a child plays video games or watches television to indulge himself, so plans for their free time should be varied considering their capabilities. Some institutes provide activities, which are suitable for youths to do in a group, that can benefit them in on several grounds. Firstly, generally speaking, these groups are designed in a way which tailored the children's need to teach them how to be a decent member of society. For example, these plans include collecting litters from parks and show children different ways to conserve the environment. Secondly, by participating in a group activity children learn social skills such as how to cooperate and interact with their peers. Finally, participating in a group, children learn to obey rules and regulations which is essential for entering society. In conclusion, although spending time on their own to some extent hones children's talents, being involved in a group teaches them many lessons that are off overriding importance.
