Some people today believe that the world's increase in population is unsustainable and will eventually lead to a global crisis. Other people believe that the world population increase is necessary and beneficial as it creates the growth of the world's economy and society. Discuss both these views and give your opinion. The growing rate of population has become the focus of heated debate amongst many in different parts of the world. While an overwhelming majority of members of society hold, this positive rate can result in catastrophic outcomes, others opine that it can bring about a variety of merits. When it comes to this notion, I maintain that though many consider current population growth an alarming rise, this can benefit both humans and society if we can manage it appropriately. During the last century, the population growth rate has experienced a constant increase across the world. This has made many people worry about the limited resources, food shortage, and the place to accommodate this astronomical number of people. They claim that our planet is unable to provide minerals such as potable water and food for this ever-growing number of people. In addition to this, since only a small portion of the earth is habitable, this can lead to the majority of people moving to certain parts of the world which in turn causes overpopulation and air pollution in habitual parts of the world. On the other hand, many a person reasons the more the number of people, the more prosperity and happiness. The advocates of this idea believe that more people will demand more commodities and services which in turn this can automatically improve global markets. In other words, more people demand more space to live, and this leads to more construction and consequently more jobs. The same story is true for agriculture and other industries, hence the importance of a large population. To cut a long story short, I hold the idea that the growth of the world's population can become a desperate plight if we fail to manage it. I maintain despite the variety of viewpoints in this regard, strike a balance besides global consensus can pave the way for managing this controversial issue.
