Some people say that art subjects such as music, drama and creative writing are an essential part of education, and every school should include them in its syllabus. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your opinion and examples from your own experience. These days many countries have a regular and accurate program for art education to young students and they believe that the arts are as essential as other subjects like mathematics. I personally support this means and in this essay will briefly explain why?. Primarily, many researches in the education area have proved that art-related activities improve children development. Not only do these activities develop cognitive skills in children, but also help children to improve motor ones. According to some research, pupils who engage in pottery classes usually have higher abilities to do the tasks which need manual skills in adulthood. From cognitive aspects, children who participate in art classes can develop creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking in compare with other students deprive of these courses. Moreover, art activities have a significant impact on social development skills. Children can learn about their own culture and other parts of the world through these subjects and it helps them to have an appropriate viewpoint on life concepts. In addition, the arts teaches us how to express ourselves and face our fears in front of other people which is one of the safest ways for decreasing fear. Another benefit of teaching arts in schools for society likely is finding new talents. These days, people seek fresh talents for bringing new experience to the community or entertainment and even they establish some social programs to get the talents. In these situations, it seems that having the art curriculum in schools fosters potential talents and helps them flourish. In conclusion, although in the eyes of some people the arts still is worthless activities, the proven positive effects of it are so high that it forces us to devote a specific place to it in the education system syllabuses.
