In some countries, it is thought advisable that children begin formal education at four years old, while in others they do not have to start school until they are seven or eight. How far do you agree with either of these views. The standard age for children to entering to formal schools has inevitably been a controversial issue. In some country people believe that appropriate age is four, in others, the age of children to start education is more than seven years old. Both views have a lot of advantages and disadvantages. Both ideas will be discussed in this essay, but personally, I agree with latter view. In some parts of the world parents encourage their children to go to formal school earlier or they using variety of books and computer’s applications to teach them to count or learn alphabet. They believe that their children be smarter than children learning math and language in older age and also believe that their children fill their time with academic courses instead of playing their toys or computer games. On the other hand, other parents think that children should be stay at home or go to kindergarten or playhouses, when their age are under the six years old. It is true that children can learn to read alphabets or simple sentences in kindergarten but they prefer their children learning other activities same as painting, dancing, drawing, building houses with their toys or play with same age children/peers and learn how to make friends and keep them in their friend zone. These kinds of activities help them to find their talents and to be more creative than children who are learning academic courses in lower age. I, personally, believe that children have to get appropriate materials which are suitable for their age and we have to ensure that our children have got ready to follow instructional process in the formal school.
