- Some parents buy their children a large number of toys to play with. What are the advantages and disadvantages for the child of having a large number of toys? It is true that parent mostly purchasing various toys in high number for their kids. Although there might be positive or negative points in this approach, it is a controversial subject. Having great number of toys as a child might have advantages and disadvantages. Mostly children with multitude toys would be considered as rich and even spoiled. Most people believe that a kid who have any toys he/she ever wished for can be spoiled and take them as granted. For example, having all kinds of toys may distract kids to be focused on learning aspects of a toy. In addition, a child among colorful range of playthings may not get excited to play to them. On the other hand, since nowadays playthings are designed to have learning features, various numbers of toys are beneficial. A kid with two toys will have less opportunity for learning than a child with large number of toys. Some parents intentionally purchase different kinds of toys to provide more fields for their kids to develop and grow.In conclusion, the topic seems obvious while it is controversial and has advantages and disadvantages. Purchasing multitude toys by parents for their kids can have its pros and cons. High number of toys can be taken as granted and distract kids, however, it provides more opportunity for kids development.
