When children start school teachers have a bigger influence on their academic and social development compared to their parents. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your opinion and relevant examples. Undoubtedly education plays a significant role in children’s future from both social and personal point of view. While many believe teachers are more influential than parents especially during the first years of school, others maintain the view that it is in fact parents who children trust and listen to. This short essay will elaborate on this contentious topic. Children nowadays spend a lot of their time at educational centers where they are being prepared to shoulder the responsibilities of their society after they grew up. That children spend most of their active time at school with their teacher and classmates is an undeniable fact. Presumably, teachers are one of the icons children try to become like them in future. Highly trained and motivated, teachers in qualified educational centers have the opportunity to develop a strong connection without it they are not able to direct their students in predefined guidelines. Having said that, the influence of children’s first tutors who protected them up to the school age is indisputable. In most cases not only do parents shape their children’s character, but they also plant the initial seeds of their future career. Raised in an artistic family, children probably will follow art rather than industry or other fields of activity. Nonetheless, parents in this day and age rarely find enough time to spend with their children. By way of conclusion, I believe both parents and educational specialist at schools have pivotal role on students’ character. Depending on the situation, this portion can increase or decrease for different individuals. Considering the amount of time spent at schools, teachers’ role will be highlighted while parents’ lasting impact due to emotional bonds is a factual.
