Ali Saeedinia_00 Should rich countries help poor contries? The governments of richer nations should take more responsibility for helping developing countries in some areas like health, education and trade. Because such areas are crucial for the development and future of those countries. There are some reasons that rich countries have a tendency to help poorer ones. Firstly, it is because of humanitarian reasons. Like individuals which who give charity, many affluent countries feel it is their social or moral duty to help people in other countries suffering from poverty, drought, famine or disease. Another reason to point out is political reason. They try to maintain developing countries dependendyt. Also many rich countries donate money for economical reasons. The donators/donors want to control the trade of commodities such as oil, water or wheat. Many people may contend that they should not, saying that it will not help those who are suffering to give them things we are abundant in, but this is no reason not to help them. It simply is not right for a country to waste good things that other countries are going without. By enabling poorer countries they canto stand on their own. On the other hand, some may say that Poor countries will rely on the rich ones and they will not be able to stop depending on them. When the rich countries stop helping the poor ones, their economy will go down once again. Also the money usually does not spendis not spent where the people need it. There might be corruption in the country and the money does not even reach the population who need it. In conclusion, developed countries play an indispensable role in assisting developing nations, but the monetary contributions should be limited and instead they must concentrate on educational aids in order to train next generations whowhich are well-educated so that the country makes progress. Moreover, developed countries can open upremove trade barriers and reduce or even eliminate tariffs on goods from these countries.
