Nowadays families move to different countries for work. Some people think it has a negative effect on children, while others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion. It is true that many families have been choosing to go to other countries to pursue their career in a new environment or for better job opportunities. Whereas, for some, detrimental impacts on children are a matter of concern, it seems to me that it has not haddoes not have any damaging effect on children. There are several reasons why people believe that moving to a different place for work might negatively affect children. Firstly, adapting to a new environment may place a considerable hardship burden on children. Leaving their country on at an early age, children should resume their education in a completely different atmosphere, with their peers talking and bantering in a foreign language. It can lead to them not only feeling isolated but also resentment hateful toward both school and education. Moreover, taught in a language that they do not thoroughly understand, academic curricula become challenging and hard to assimilate for children, hence less academic achievement. Secondly, moving to a new country probably will separate children from some members of the immediate family especially grandparents. Considering the intimate relationship, grandchildren are likely to find it hard not to missmissing them. Children, besides, are deprived of what grandparents are ordinarily handing down such as family traditions and experiences. However, that families move overseas for work is not negatively impacting children. To begin with, while being in the brain development stage, not only are children highly receptive to learning new subjects, especially linguistics, but also it they will more readily help them to develop superior abilities. They, if trained and instructed by high-minded tutors in proper schools, would not struggle with picking up a new language. Furthermore, a majority of children are assimilated into the new culture and form a new social circle quite easily, for they do not follow any discriminatory attitude toward different races or ethnicities. Finally, with the advent of technology, children can keep their relationship with their loved ones alive. With the extreme accessibility of the Internet and video calls, people are able to talk and seeeach other easily and almost free of charge; furthermore, air travel has become both fast and cheap, so people can travel to any part of the world regularly to see their family. In conclusion, although some are holding on to the view that children’s growth might suffer, I believe that children they will not witness any deleterious effect as a result of families exploringe career opportunities beyond their own country.
