"Schools are spending more time teaching traditional subjects such as history. Some people think they should rather spend more time in teaching skills that help students find a job. To what extend do you agree or disagree?" There have been differences of opinion regarding whether students should be taught skills which can help them through their professional life instead of more traditional subjects. Although However both ideas have their own positive and negative aspects, in my opinion, making students ready for the job they are interested in, is much more important. To begin with, I suppose all of us, more and less experienced the same way of education in school. We all spent a huge amount of time on studying and memorizing pages of school books, but have does any of us remember a word of those books. And even if we could, would knowing any of those that information be useful in our everyday life? Surely it is much better if we stop wasting students' life by forcing them to learn something they will never use. On the other hand also, there are some people who believe that knowing the information currently being taught in schools, is necessary and students needs it in order to being be familiar with their own culture. As an example, learning history not only can teach them life lessons but also can prevent them to makemaking the same mistake their ancestor had made, again. In conclusion, although both sides of the argument have their own logical reasons for what they believe, as noted above, it seems to me that we as adults, are responsible for our children's life,. Therefore, it is better if we help them to be prepared for the real world after graduation, by training them for the job they have the talent and ability for.
