Employers sometimes ask people applying for jobs for personal information, such as their hobbies and interests, and whether they are married or single. Some people say that this information may be relevant and useful. Others disagree. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Job seekers are sometimes interviewed about their personal life such as their hobbies or marital status. While some take these elements into consideration and regard it them as useful. O others do not hold the same point of view. Sometimes, job recruiters reserve the right to inquire of the interviewee about their private issues such as what they do in their leisure time. They argue that particular kinds of responsibilities might need special characteristics. Raising such questions during the interview could be helpful and informative in recruiting the right person. Some jobs are shift ones, in on some occasions, the person has to travel so often or even in some situations they are not allowed to leave as long as they are not finished. If a woman for instance, with one-year-old child is applying for such career, she might find herself in hardship working in these situations, and her performance will be affected. She might not have the required efficiency. On the other hand, opponents put forward their own concerns. Firstly, they consider this sort of questions irrelevant and discriminative. The applicant might feel either offended or embarrassed. They suggest a person could be totally different during the time spent out of work comparing to time spent at work. They believe we should value the candidates' privacy. Secondly, revealing private information could be problematic. They are likely to be misused. Finally, they can easily lie if they have to respond against their will. From my point of view, I would agree providing such information could be regarded as an efficient approach to better recognize the applicant for certain circumstances. This way, job seekers will be evaluated from various perspectives. However, they can be considered as final round questions and not too personal ones.
