Some people think that people should choose their job based on income in order to provide security for their family. Do you think money is an important factor when you choosing a job? What other factors should be considered? How to chooseing a career is a controversial issue because careers generally last for lifetime thus, theyit should be compatible with personal and professional goals. While some opine that money is the most important factor for choosing an occupation because an individual can enjoy fairly higher quality of life, others are of the opinion that income is only one of the criteria of/for choosing a job. In other words, there are other forces at play. To begin with, a profession with a high salary would lead to a higher standard of living which is one of the aspects of life satisfaction. Some people believe that the more income, the better off the living conditions would be. To exemplify, a person can afford a proper holidays and vacation time which can compensate for the harsh situation at work. In addition, earning huge amounts of money brings about comfort in life. A clear example is luxurious houses and cars. On the flip side, many people argue that for choosing a job people should consider several indexes. First and foremost is , compensatione and benefits which that job will provide such as the amount of wages. Secondly, interaction of their work with their personal life for, namely flexible hours/flextime, the workplace location and community respects. Last but not least, which job character does the person prefer, a creative or a challenging one?. What gives meaning to a person's work-life is a balanced combination of the aforementioned criteria. By way of conclusion, I am inclined to the latter belief because from my perspective not only is the second view rationale, but it also provides us with higher life satisfaction.
