Page 115 of Saadaat Jozveh: Young people in the modern world seem to have more power and influence than any previous young generation. Why is this case? What impact does this have on the relationship between old and young people? In today’s world, the modern youth have become more powerful and influential than ever before due to mainly two major contributors; technology and the modern education systems. As a result, the relationships between juveniles and adults has have been affected which is being called as “generation gap”. Although technology has numerous invaluable advantages, it may lead people, especially the young ones, to behave obnoxiously. For instance, accessing massive amounts of information on a device using the internet has have caused most of today’s minors to consider themselves more sapient comparing to* grown-ups. As a result, neither do young adults show respect for older people’s ideas, nor do they accept any pieces of their advice. Another factor component which has led the whole world into the generation gap is how people have been taught through time. Based on a survey conducted by the Victoria University of Manchester, a group of behavioral scientists - in an ongoing experiment - observed almost about one 1 million high school graduates. The results reveals valuable pieces of information about why this gap occurs. For instance, it shows that in the past three quarters/78% of adolescents have been hired occupied in the job their parents been doing whereas, nowadays this number has have declined fluctuated to just a quarter of them. In other words, it indicates that not only do have the new generation not have to follow their parents’ way of life, but they have also managed to live their lives on their own rules. Despite the gap which exists among generations, both youths and adults are searching dreadfully for a way to put an end to this disturbing fact. In this case, are there any other alternatives rather than spending more time together? In fact, their issues would not get resolved entirely. But in my opinion, the best way to deal with this matter is family gatherings, nevertheless.
