Alireza Davari <alireza.davari@icloud.com> 11:04 AM (47 minutes ago) to me Nowadays, people get married and have children after the age of thirty. Is it a positive or negative development? Give your opinion and examples based on your experience. It is a fact that these days, the percentage of people marrying after the age of thirty is dramatically increasing and also one of today's controversial issues among younger generations is the right age of marriagethat which one of its positive and negative aspects is more important? On the one hand, some people argue that with the passage of time the chance of pregnancy in women become decreases so that the ladies who face after marrying at an old age with the risk of infertility have increasedincreases. Moreover, in the older age different kinds of diseases are growing rapidly which their symptoms are very harmful for the new born babies. Furthermore, the health problems occur between the ages of thirty to forty years. This is a common occurrence among the working people particularly women who are planning to conceive in at an advanced age which may leads to failure so that they will pay a bigger price than they bargained for. On the other hand, others believe that getting married late is a favorable trend as it allows individuals to enjoy their youth and also getting financially security secure prior to taking up on the new responsibilities after marriage so that this trend has become popular among the younger people. For example, in my country, it is very hard to survive in this situation of the inflationary pressures if you do not have a high-income job. Therefore, people especially young ones enter the institution of marriage and start to form family in the third fourth decade of their lives. This hives gives them time to lead an insouciant and enjoyable life. For this reason, couples postpone the idea of a child at the earlier age and set their mind to achieve achieving their goals as well. Ultimately, although there may be negative aspects to tie the knotmatrimony and having children after thirty, in my opinion, this development practice offers a great deal of benefits to youngsters as it allows them to save wealth to be able to support both their married life and the life of their children as well as giving sufficient time to people to revel in their lives and hence I personally believe that every young person should sift out the results of this issue before taking an irresponsible decision.

Some people say that advertising encourages us to buy things we don't really need. Others say that advertisements tell us about new products that may improve our lives. Which viewpoint do you agree with? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. We are living in a world full of colorful products where advertisement advertising plays a pivotal role in the way we select a product to buy. While many a person argues that advertisement is leading us to purchase the products which are not, in fact, necessary, the opponents subscribe to the view that not only can advertisements create jobs, but it they also paves the way for higher standards of living by introducing new products. When it comes to this notion I hold the latter viewpoint owing to its positive impacts on both society and individuals. A considerable body of evidence shows that an overwhelming majority of people nowadays spend a good deal of their income on the commodities or services they arguably did would not buy if they were not under the heavy bombardment of advertisements. Large companies in this day and age are spending extravagant amounts of their financial resources to produce producing influential commercials to encourage ordinary people to buy their products regardless of whether they need them or not. My mother, for example, bought a fruit dryer from a well-known vendor two years ago, but has not used it yet. Though advertisements can lead to many purchasing what they do not necessarily need, but, on the other side of the coin, theyit can broaden potential customers’ horizons to find new products to make life easier. The Digital blood pleasure monitor was an outstanding example for me when I saw the advertisement on a large billboard which made me buy it for my father for his 62nd birthday. Since then he can has been able to monitor his blood pressure without asking others to assist him. To cut a long story short, I must confess that despite strong criticisms, I opine that the benefits of advertisements outweigh the disadvantages if authorities in charge of commerce can monitor advertising, and introduce appropriate laws to prevent them from overacting.

Some people say that music can bring people of different cultures and ages together. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Many believe that Music is the most basic forms of communications between different ages and cultures. I completely concur with this statement. Music trends tend to be generational, but there is something powerful about music genres and what creates solidarity across decades, age groups and even countries. Music can be particularly potent in bringing about closeness by releasing the hormone dopamine and age is not a subject to this natural phenomenon. For instance, whether it is a concert, festival or a street performance people relish the opportunity while those live performances vary based on culture, music genre or age group, they all have a common purpose of entertaining and connecting together. Music both shapes and reflects society. Dancers follow its beat; protesters use it to find their voice. It can promote ideals like peace and unity but it can also prepare armies for battle. It is part of almost every important personal and collective moment. in a world of diversity, where often values clash, music leaps across language barriers and unites people of quite different cultural backgrounds and it function as a universal language. Although music lacks communicative specificity in comparison with language, its power sometimes exceeds that of language in social, emotional and spiritual domains. In live contexts, moreover, music can communicate to with greater numbers of individuals and over greater distances than language can. In conclusion, music is a helpful tool in integrating cultures and generations.it prepares the ground for more interactions between different ages and cultures because it can create a great moment for individuals being to be happy and also be a universal language between different countries.

Some people believe that wearing uniforms at schools is a great idea. What is your idea? Specify reasons and examples. Generally speaking, a vast majority of the populace are of the opinion that students should dress the same due to some reasons. However, I opine that this tradition is quite obsolete. Wearing uniforms at schools by students can be evaluated from various angles one of which is students’ identity. Plus, it would kill their creativity. To begin with, a human’s gender is no longer does classified as male and female only. Although most countries nowadays recognize other genders’ rights, they still force all students irrespective of their identity to wear unified clothes which can turn to a huge letdown. Due to the fact that people’s physics physique does not necessarily match their identity we should not impel them to wear specific clothes. Taking for instance, one of the United States’ schools as an instance which lately compelled school girls regardless of their gender to wear skirts as their uniform. Secondly, wearing uniforms at school, students lose their creativity and will to pick their own clothes. In other words, this policy takes one of their most primary rights away from them. That is why I believe that students should not be made to wear uniforms at school because it is an old-school tradition. According to conducted research on some grownups who barely had the right to choose their clothes in their early years of their life, they have turned to a passive adults in comparison with their counterparts who had rights to choose their outfits. It makes it clear that not only does wearing uniforms does reduce one’s creativity but turns one’s to a neutral person. To cut a long story short, the aforementioned points and examples have made it clear that the policy of wearing uniforms at schools in the long run would adversely affect students and should be abolished as soon as possible.

As well as making money, businesses also have social responsibilities. To what extent do you agree or disagree. Businesses are have always sought to make profit, but it is becoming increasingly common to hear people talk about social obligation the companies have. I fully support the idea that firms should do more for society rather than simply making money. I agree that businesses should make money in order to survive in a competitive world. It is quite logical that a company should be able to make money to pay their running costs, such as employee’ salary, building’ rent, utilities. On top of this, they must invest in researches, innovation and training/learnings education of their personnel, to meet their customers’ exponentially growing expectations. If a company is unable to pay its running cost, or meet the changing needs of customers, any interest or concern towards society becomes irrelevant. Or let’s say any company can make positive contribution to society only when it has good financial health. On the other hand, a company should not run with the sole aim of maximizing their profit. They have a wider role to play in society. One social obligation the bosses and managers have is to treat their employees nicelymore humanely, instead of exploiting them. As an example, they could pay a bare minimum wage or in other words “living wage” to ensure workers to have good quality of life. I also like the idea that companies should allocate a proportion of their profits to supporting local charities, environmental projects, and educational initiatives. At last, instead of minimizing their tax payments using account loopholes, I suppose that company bosses should be happy to contribute to society through the tax system. To conclude, I believe that companies should put as much importance to on their social responsibilities as they do on their financial objectives.

Do you agree or disagree that job has greater effect on your overall happiness than social life? It is undeniable that happiness is not the result of only one factor, but a variety of elements can create happiness in life. In fact, happiness and satisfaction are intertwined with so many factors which interact with each other. Because of the indisputable role of money in our life, some people assert that job has a greater role in well-being. However, others suppose that the happiness is more dependent on social life. Although we can not underestimate the importance of career, I do believe that social networks can have more impressive effect on happiness. In the following paragraphs, I will outline my reasons. First and foremost, humans are social creatures beings and one of the vital needs of every one is belonging to a supportive group. Having communication with others can give us a sense of security and self-worth. Psychological studies show that people who have at least one close friends are happier than those without/ones who do not have any friend. Furthermore, marriage can lead to happiness, if one gets support from her one’s partner. Being in a strong and contributory environment diminishes the risk of depression and can lead to feeling less stress in challenging situations. On the other hand, some people believe that a satisfying job can have stronger effect on psychological well-being. But I want to set an example to show the opposite. Imagine a person who works in a company as a manager of a department. She loves and knows her job and her responsibilities and because of the nature of her job as a boss, she should keep in touch with the staff throughout the day. But when she does not have a strong bond with them and if the memberships of the group do not support each other, in a long period of time not only will they will feel exhausted, but also they will frustrated to with achieve achieving their goals. Working in an unsupportive environment, even when the job and its salary is are completely delightfulimpressive, leads to hopelessness/despair and job fatigue. As a result, as researches shows, people thrive more when they belong to the supportive groups. They can get receive honest and constructive feedback from loved ones that can bring more satisfaction in the long run.

Some people say that the only reason for learning foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are benefits when someone tries to learn other languages. This is also claimed by many beliefs that everyone who wants to work or travel in other countries, needs to attend to this action, but others believe not otherwise and so am do I. These days, learning a foreign language is more popular in many countries more than ever. People who try to learn another tongue, are going to prepare for their aims or purposes such as travelling or working in somewhere far away than from their home. There is are also many advantages during this processes. One of them is, the learners become smarter and sharper rather than whom thos who are monolingual. They have much more success to in eliminate eliminating misunderstanding or conflict through communication by many experts’ beliefs. On the other hand, Language and culture are intrinsically linked. Actually, it is impossible to understand a foreign culture without learning their language first. By learning a foreign language, we also get to enjoy the literature and music in that language. Of course, translations are available but they will never beat the original. For example, the Russian language has numerous classical novels written in it. While these novels have been translated to many languages, one has to learn Russian to be able to read the original. Also, in this age of the internet, people who are fluent in a foreign language can find work as translators or interpreters within their country itself. They do not necessarily have to go abroad to use their knowledge of international languages. To sum up, learning foreign languages needs to be aimed in other purposes not only for leisure or business. Which is my own opinion for this matter.

Local vs World History https://www.sabaitc.com/index.php/workshop-speaking-writing/writing-workshop/2015-10-31-06-09-31/471-fridays-writing-workshop-1398/writing-workshop-friday-98-11-25/3406-local-vs-world-history https://www.sabaitc.com/index.php/workshop-speaking-writing/writing-workshop/2015-10-31-06-09-31/471-fridays-writing-workshop-1398/writing-workshop-friday-98-11-25/3406-local-vs-world-history

It’s more important for children to learn about local history than world history. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Teaching history as part of the school curriculum has always invited comparisons between the significance of learning about local events versus the global ones. Although many argue that local history should receive additional attention, I believe it pales beside world history. Studying the history of different nations around the world affords a broader perspective. Going through history and discovering the reasons behind events can provide a better acquaintance with other peoples which in turn enhances our understanding of their current beliefs and cultures. Humiliating defeats, major victories and other historic moments are basically building blocks of a nation’s identity, shaping people’s political and/or religious convictions. This can consequently help us to thoroughly understand other cultures and adopt more effective dealings with them. Moreover, world history is replete with astounding stories. Granted, a particular local history can also abound with significant events, but this often fails to be as diverse, seeming trivial next to what the whole world has thus far witnessed. So important and fundamental are these changes that they inevitably belittle domestic events; the rise and fall of civilizations and notions, the progress of major social and economic changes, and decisions and mistakes which have shaped the future. The disparity widens when the area or country lacks what is believed to be a rich history. Countries which have been inhabited only for less than a century, for example, mostly disappoint their residents’ expectations of becoming as much captivated in their identity as their more ancient counterparts managed to. To conclude, while some contend that learning about local history should have priority over the international one, I believe studying history on a global scale will broaden our horizons and capture our interests far more strongly since it embraces more significant stories in terms of number and diversity.

Countries are becoming more and more similar because people are able to buy the same products anywhere in the world. Do you think it is a positive or negative development? Nowadays, people from all over the world can purchase the same commodities from their own countries or any country that they visit. This essay will analyze the favorable and unfavorable features of this kind of globalization. On the one hand, it is widely accepted that a global village could offer a host of benefits. One thing that is really stands out might be that individuals would be able to find their products from their own country. This would mean that not only does their own country provide them with the chance to save money and time because they do not have to travel to other country countries to buy commodities but also buyers can return the products, which do not work properly and have malfunction. Another virtue could be that the world could reach a balance in terms of advanced technology. The main reason might be that scientists form different nations could share the latest achievements. On the other hand, stereotypes in products between different countries could have an array of adverse effects. The most obvious one would be that it might eliminate exclusive merchandise. For instance, some countries might put a considerable attempt to invent a novel goods, so if other countries imitate the same product, the individuality of goods will be fadedfading, while they could be a monopoly of a product for that country. Another detrimental effect would be that travelling might decline, this which is worrisome because people would not be encouraged to travel in order to buy clothes, and other products, because since they can provide it them in their own country easily besides it leads to declining a drastic decline in the rate of tourist tourismindustry. To sum up, from my point of view, although globalization has some benefits, it could be better that each countries country has their its products to indicateindividuality, so it could attract millions of people from other countries to purchase this kind of exclusive product.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is important to know what is happening around the world, even if it does not affect your personal lives. In a world that where humans’ lives are intertwined with daily incidents, ignoring their surroundings could act as a backfire, abandoning leaving them in a complete state of confusion. Knowing about the world’s trending headlines, irrespective of their importance in one’s personal life, may become beneficial in one way or another. While some believe that one should not focus on news, I believe that it is somehow necessary in life because people can broaden their horizons, run their businesses successfully and it creates an atmosphere for communication. First of all, the world we are living in is dealing with different challenges, which its effects can be seen in all walks of lives. Not only informing people about the world they live in could make them more knowledgeable, it can also boost their thinking process in different ways. The more awareness in the masses, could make people a better critical thinkers, making them more open-minded about various issues. For example, when a person, living in southern countries, follows the United States 2020 election news, it helps him/her become more familiar with parties that are in the government. Some may go even further and follow the debates that run between candidates to have a better understanding with nominee’s nominees’ mindset, offering them a wider perspective. Finally, by knowing about the world’s top stories and thinking about other ideologies, people become more acquainted with the ways they can form an opinion. Moreover, one of the major impacts of globalization was the way that many businesses become more dependent to on global situations, such as inflations fluctuations in stuck stock markets. For instance, when America decided to impose sanctions on some countries, many global companies had to inform take a decision as to whether to continue their businesses in those areas or terminate their contracts. This also gave the chance to minor companies to fill the absence of huge corporations, expanding their operations and providing facilities for the people whose life was adversely affected under these types of global legislations. Therefore, when policy makers of a company are conscious of the news around the world, by making the right decisions, they can boost their firm’s productivity. Finally, the more people are well-informed about the world’s current situation, the better they can engage in fruitful conversations. Many ideas are born through the dialogues that people establish with those who view the world through different lenses. Besides, when people find a mutual interest in a field, friendships could be established as a result of that. In an example, followers of a sport such as soccer, could gather together in meetings and discuss about the latest news that is happening in the soccer world. The World cups which are is held every four years are is the best opportunity to meet new people and enter into interesting talks. As a consequence, not only by being aware of incidents around the world can people can communicate with others, but their general spirit would rise. To sum up, I think it is important that people realize the current happenings in the world. I suggest that individuals follow those news sources who which cover all aspects of an issue, because in this way people can form wiser opinions, companies make substantial profits, and a higher spirit for people would be the outcome.
